webintenta es uno de los sitios que visito a diario, y revisando los archivos, encontré un post que creo vale la pena copiar, se trata de una colección de sitios de fuentes muy útiles a la hora de necesitar una que otra inspiración textual. Si a eso le sumas los sitios posteados en los comentarios, logramos lo que es una estupenda lista de páginas dedicadas especialmente a lo que son los tipos. Espero les ayude.
DIRECTORIOS DE FUENTES
- Dafont. En mi opinión el mejor directorio de fuentes gratuitas
- The Open Font Library. The Open Font Library es un proyecto hermano a Open Clip Art Library. El onjetivo del proyecto es recopilar fuentes de dominio público y que por tanto puedan ser utilizadas gratuitamente.
- A-font. Blog que se dedica a recopilar fuentes.
- Urban Fonts. Otro gran directorio de fuentes.
- Abstract Fonts. Directorio con más de 10.000 fuentes organizadas por categorías.
- Font Cubes. Directorio de fuentes de calidad.
- FontParade.com.
- Maniackers Design. Desde Japón, un colectivo de diseñadores nos ofrecen fuentes de gran calidad.
- FontScape. Fuentes originales (no procedentes de otros sitios) para Windows.
- Gau. Muy interesante recurso.
- Kat’s Fun Fonts. “With over six-hundred original fonts.”
- Chank: Free fonts. Fuentes originales realizadas por diversos diseñadores.
- Blue Vynil Fonts. Otro directorio de fuentes gratuitas.
- Free Mac Fonts. Directorio de fuentes gratuitas para Mac ordenadas por categorías.
- Beautiful Fonts. Otro directorio más. No aporta gran cosa respecto a Dafont.
- FontoVille. No hay muchas fuentes pero las que hay son muy interesantes.
- Letterhead. Mas fuentes originales.
- Aenigma Fonts. Otro directorio.
- Creamundo. Directorio en castellano y con una gran variedad de fuentes. Muy completo.
- Simply the best fonts.
PIXEL FONTS
- Gosub Communications ScreenFonts. Pixel Fonts tanto para PC como para Mac.
- Pyxelin. Pixel Fonts para Mac.
-Distype. Agencia que ofrece algunas fuentes de manera gratuita.
- Semplice Pixel Fonts. Una colección de fuentes, cada una de ellas en tres diferentes formatos ( .ttf, .fon y .8)
– Orgdot. Pixel fonts para Mac y PC

DIRECTORIOS ESPECIALIZADOS
- Free Type-Writer Fonts. Interesante directorio de fuentes gratuitas de tipo “máquina de escribir”, ordenadas por tipo.
- Font-o-rama. En esta web, se ofrecen algunas fuentes tipo retro o vintage, de libre descarga.
- Famous Fonts. Fuentes famosas, es decir, fuentes utilizadas en películas, por grandes compañías, en juegos, etc.
- Pirates and Fonts. El nombre lo dice todo. Directorio de fuentes cuya temática es el mundo de los piratas. Muy interesante.
- Fonts for kids. Directorio de fuentes infantiles o indicadas para niños.
- Fonts 4 Adults. Directorio de Fuentes para adultos. En mi opinión, una curiosidad. Inutilizables, aunque nunca se sabe.
- Graffiti Fonts. Directorio de fuentes que dan un aspecto de graffiti
- Free celtic fonts. Directorio de fuentes celtas.
- Font Diner. Recopilatorio de fuentes con aspecto Retro o Vintage.
- Retro Clip Art. Fuentes con aspecto retro. Muy bueno.
- Blambot Comic Fonts. Fuentes
con estetica inspirada en los comics. Sobre el listado, las que no
tienen viñeta son las que se pueden descargar de forma gratuita.
- Font Stuff From Codeman38. Fuentes de videojuegos.
- Quake Fonts. Fuentes utilizadas en el famoso juego.
– Smeltery.net. Fuentes adecuadas para utilizar en el diseño de posters, entre otras cosas.
- Font Garden Dingbats. Quizá una de las mayores colecciones de dingbats.
- Proggy Fonts. Directorio de fuentes que poseen una serie de características que las hacen idóneas para utilizarlas en programación
VARIOS
- Fontleech. Blog que se dedica al mundo de la tipografía y a buscar fuentes gratuitas interesantes en la red.
- Identify a font. Recurso similar al anterior. En este caso averiguamos de que fuente se
trata respondiendo a una serie de preguntas sobre la morfología de la
misma.

Bullets madnes tiene un post con 200 bullets para usar gratuitamente, hay muchos muy diversos… en algún momento creí que jamás los necesitaría, pero realmente sirven, quizás hasta podría usar algunos como Favicon XD
Descaradamente copio y pego…. Espero no tener problemas con los usuarios de stylegala…
